Volunteer – Campaign Driver

Drive the candidate and campaign staff to events and meetings. Volunteers must have access to a reliable personal vehicle, and be available to drive staff to events and meetings throughout the state, primarily originating from the Indianapolis area. This is a unique and meaningful opportunity to experience the campaign first-hand and contribute to its success.

Volunteer – Phone Banking

Call voters to discuss key issues, and communicate important campaign messages. This is one of the most important volunteer roles in any campaign, and it’s your chance to make a direct impact in the election. In addition, this volunteer role gives you the opportunity to meet many of your neighbors across the state.

Volunteer – Canvasser

Canvassers are needed across Indiana, and this is your chance to make a difference in your local community. Volunteer canvassers walk through different neighborhoods and introduce themselves door-to-door, while handing out literature, discussing key voter issues, and communicating core campaign messages.

Volunteer – Campus Organizer

Campus organizers build campaign awareness within their campus communities. Meet with other students to discuss key voter issues, hand out literature, and communicate core campaign messages.

Volunteer – Community Organizer

Community organizers engage their neighbors and build campaign awareness within their local communities. Meet with neighbors to discuss key voter issues, hand out literature, and communicate core campaign messages.

Volunteer – Yard Sign Distributor

Volunteers are needed to deliver campaign yard signs to supporters in your communities. Yard signs are an important way to show growing, local support for the campaign and its core messages.

Volunteer – Drive Voters to the Polls

Getting out the vote is one of the most important roles on Election Day. Volunteers are needed to drive voters to the polls. Support your community and the democratic process. Volunteers must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.

Volunteer – Visit Retirement, Assisted Living, and Nursing Home Communities

Like community canvassers, volunteers are needed to visit older voters in retirement, assisted living, and nursing home communities. Engage these voters to discuss their specific needs and key issues, while handing out literature and communicating core messages from the campaign.

Volunteer – Digital Communications

Support the campaign with online, electronic, and digital communications. Be proactive with social media engagement. Respond to and engage with voters, answering questions and communicating key campaign messages. Volunteers will need superior writing skills with an empathetic, polite, patient, and persuasive writing style.

Volunteer – Event, Festival, and Booth Staffing

Volunteer staff are needed to staff booths at festivals and events across the state. This is a great opportunity to engage your community, discuss key voter issues, hand out literature, and communicate core campaign messages. Volunteers help set up and tear down the event, plus hold signs and wear campaign t-shirts.

Volunteer – Poll Worker

Volunteer poll workers conduct assigned duties at a polling site on Election Day. Duties can include issuing ballots to registered voters, registering voters, monitoring the voting equipment, explaining how to mark the ballot or use the voting equipment, or even counting votes.

Volunteer – Data Entry and Analysis

Campaigns generate more data than ever before, and volunteers are needed to help collect, organize, and analyze campaign data to make informed strategic decisions, and to optimize resource allocation.

Volunteer – Local Meeting Supporter

Show up to support the campaign at a local meeting or event. Volunteers are needed to attend local meetings, meet-ups, and events to show general support for the campaign. Volunteers may hold a campaign sign or wear a campaign t-shirt.

Volunteer – Host a Coffee Meet & Greet

If you like meeting your neighbors, then volunteer to host a coffee meet-and-greet event with the candidate or one of the campaign staff. These are invaluable opportunities to connect with your neighbors, directly discuss the issues that matter most, ask questions of the candidate, and help fundraise for the campaign’s success.

Do you know people who might like to donate to the campaign? Volunteer to host a local fundraiser, which can be attended by the candidate or campaign staff. These are invaluable opportunities to connect with your neighbors, directly discuss the issues that matter most, and help fundraise for the campaign’s success.

Volunteer – Donate Office/Retail Space

In the months before the General Election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the campaign will need small, local offices across the state. These offices help support campaign efforts, such as canvassing and yard sign distribution by campaign field staff and volunteers, as well as get-out-the-vote initiatives leading up to Election Day. Volunteers are needed to donate even a small office or retail space for a short period of time (especially August, September, October and November 2018).

Volunteer – Office Staff

In the months before the General Election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the campaign will need small, local offices across the state. These offices help support campaign efforts, such as canvassing and yard sign distribution by campaign field staff and volunteers, as well as get-out-the-vote initiatives leading up to Election Day. Office volunteers are essential for coordinating these efforts and creating a strong, visible campaign presence in each community. Volunteers with a wide range of skills are needed, especially those with strong office environment and organizational experience.
