Mark W. Rutherford for Indiana Secretary of State 2018.

Mark Rutherford is a lifelong Hoosier, having graduated from Carmel High School, Wabash College and Valparaiso University School of Law.  He practices business law with Thrasher Buschmann & Voelkel, PC in Indianapolis.  He is active in the community, serving on many boards and organizations, including service as the Chair or President of many of these same organizations.

Governor Mitch Daniels appointed Mark to the Indiana Public Defender Commission in 2007 and he was soon elected its Chairman, and has remained on the Commission ever since then.

Mark has been active with the Libertarian Party for over twenty years, including service as the Vice Chair of the national Libertarian Party from 2010 to 2012.

Mark is an active tennis and platform tennis player.  He resides near Home Place, Indiana, which was recently annexed by Carmel, Indiana.

Indiana state law requires political committees to report the name and address of individuals whose contributions aggregate in excess of $100 in a calendar year. Additionally, state law requires political committees to also report the occupation of individuals whose contributions aggregate in excess of $1000. Contributions are subject to Indiana campaign finance law.  Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable donations. Contributions by corporations and labor organizations are limited to $5,000 annually. Contributions by individuals, LLCs and political committees are unlimited.  Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited.
